Joe Perry says his new holiday EP was a rather spontaneous project. The Aerosmith guitarist tells UltimateClassicRock.com he was in Los Angeles wrapping up his book tour, and found himself “about 20 feet away from a studio.” But he adds that it’s something he’d like to do again. Perry says he’d like to make it a tradition, and put out a collection of holiday songs every year. The rocker released the EP “Joe Perry’s Merry Christmas” earlier this month. The four-song set includes instrumental versions of the classics “Silent Night” and “White Christmas” along with vocal renditions of “Run, Run Rudolph” and “Santa’s Back in Town.”
